looking for some info on lodging and "must visit" restaurants in Casper area

Three of us drew antelope tags and are looking to make the trip in early Oct. Since we have never been to Casper I am open to recommendations for places to stay and any eateries that are worth a stop. We had thought about trying to find a cabin, but there don't seem to be many available.

I've been surfing the google searches and haven't quite found what we think we want so I thought I would ask the forum members about their personal experiences and their recommendations/dislikes. We were thinking about finding somthing with more character than the big hotels/motels.

Thanks in advance.

We had a good time fishing with these guys, don't know much about the cabins though, just knew they had them.

don't know if this helps at all or if you already found it. I usually am only there on business, so I don't know much about eating. The Parkway Plaza is kindof a business type hotel, that's where we usually stay and eat, but not really an experience I wouldn't say. Hell's Half Acre and Ayres Natural Bridge are pretty cool and close by. Trailhead lodge popped up in search, haven't been there though.
