I was looking a taking my wife on her first elk hunt this fall. So i'm trying to figure out what area will be the best to hunt. We would be doing it DIY on public ground. I have looked at the MRS and have some ideas but the thing is we will only be able to hunt the last week of the season Nov. 18-25. I'm just worried that some areas will be hunted out or snowed out. If we should go with just a general tag or a limmited entry. I just don't know what to expect going that late in the season. Im' not afraid to go in after them and pack them out. I just don't want to waste the time and effert in the wrong area. Thanks.

Problems could be snow, I have had great luck late season hunting around Dillon, lots of migrant elk and an over the counter hunting area, too much snow makes it more difficult but it also backs off the pressure. pack for the cold, it gets downright chilly in those parts
