So last year I burned my 7 points and hunted 90-2 great hunt shot a small buck(my fault). It was my first hunt for antelope and I loved it. But even better was the meat! Waaaaay better than whitetail. Anyway I have used all my meat up. So now I'm looking to head back next year and hopefully put a tag or two on some does and maybe a buck. So where on the east side of wyoming should I look? Not needing your honey hole just what units have some access? And not opposed to a small trespass fee on private if I can fill 2 or 3 tags. Thanks for any tips.

Call the Wyoming game and fish and they will email you a list of landowners that allow hunting and small access fee. You better do it now cause the landowners only let so many people on and the list fills fast
Thanks. It will be for next year. I'm just getting so nervy on out of state hunts. I've been burned a couple times really bad. I am just trying to find a couple units that have the tags and find the permission before I put in for the tags. Thank you sir

Well, for next year I think 24 is one of the better units for access. I don't know how many points they might take. I am not sure if its just because I have driven through that area quite a bit or if there is more access with the National Grasslands and BLM, but for a meat hunt like you were saying that might be a good area. The numbers are pretty good, there are still leftovers in that area. That is just my opinion, 23, 18, 7, 19 also look pretty good, but I am more familiar with 24 so I lean that way. It is still an * area, so it is a little tricky to find areas, but its do-able for sure. I have heard on another thread that they were asking $400 to $800 for an antelope trespass, but for a doe you might be able to find someone for a little less. Retterath has probably the best way to find those people on the list. I think you could lock in someone on the list if you call early like he said and have an almost guaranteed tag in a lot of those units. You might have to look into the odds list a little to narrow it down.

I got the Gillette F&G office to e-mail me the land owner call list last fall. Unless they have worked it over in the last couple months, the list is badly out of date........numbers don't work anymore, many people listed have died, many more have all the hunters they want, don't want any calls and can't figure how to get their name off the list. A warden I talked to from the Gillette area told me he is trying to get the list discontinued because it is next to worthless. My experience with it was a big waste of time. I found it next to worthless.

i used it last year and everyone i talked to said they were full and a few said come on out. But yeah its not fair to some people that continue to get calls that dont want to be bothered. I agree they need to have it updated or just get rid of it.
