Hey everybody. Name is James, I am 30 years old. Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. Finally decided to make an account and join in on the great conversations contained on this message board. So much awesome info here! I've been really into fly fishing and backpacking most of my life and decided last year to make the jump into hunting. Last season I bagged my first Mule deer with a muzzleloader in unit 57 in New Mexico on a friends private land and have been obsessed with hunting ever since. There is really nothing like eating a steak from an animal you harvested in the wild yourself. Something very primal about it but it just feels right ;).. I just finished hunting general archery elk season with my younger cousin in Utah for 7 days and we had the time of our lives! We hunted a spike/cow unit and all we glassed were big bulls (no spikes or cows)... Beautiful country to explore in Utah... Anyways, I have 2 more hunts coming up this season (Muzzleloader Cow Elk in 231 Nevada) and (Doe Antelope in Plateau Utah) and am looking forward to researching these game species and units with the help of the community here. Thanks for reading my intro and Happy hunting!

~James

Usually just bite the bullet and drive up to Utah (Circleville/Antimony Area) or Drive up to the Ely area. During the spring/fall months, I like to take the boat to Mead and do some topwater flyfishing for bass with popper flys.
