I've been looking at trying long range accubonds in my 300win and I was wondering how accurate the ballistic coefficient rating on the box is? It just seems like it might be a little high. Is there any independent company that tests the BC rating?
It is high, but how is your load working for you?I've been looking at trying long range accubonds in my 300win and I was wondering how accurate the ballistic coefficient rating on the box is? It just seems like it might be a little high. Is there any independent company that tests the BC rating?
I absolutely love the hornady interbond and wanna try the ELD X bullets, but hornady really needs to get their #*it with bullet production. The interbonds have been on temporary suspension for four years and you can't hardly get an ELD X bullet. I suspect it will be the same with them as well. Why offer them if they aren't going to be available.take a look at the new horandy eld-x bullets. they are suppose to perform at 100 yards all the way out to your long range hunting shots. i bought them for my 7wsm and loaded some and going to see how they shoot. If the horandy A-max perform in your gun these bullet should also. They are designed the same but with the new non melting polymer tip.
That's a common issue with bullets of that type construction and aero configuration. Most hand loads I made with them required them to be very close to the rifling to get minimum jump...which in turn didn't allow them to load in the mag. Not always the case just my experience.I'm not very happy with the performance of bergers. They fly good but don't fit in my mag well and the last animal I killed with them they didn't expand. I also wanted a higher bc then the traditional accubonds.
