Going to be doing some solo hunts this year in more remote areas, does anyone have experience using the locator beacons to pinpoint your location if something happens in case of an emergency?

Pick up a Inreach. Has the SOS feature, and you can stay in contact with your family, or others that hunt with you if they have one

Love the In-Reach. Get the flexible plan. I found the cheapest monthly service and paying extra for overages to be cheaper than buying the more expensive package. Every morning I got a detailed weather forecast for the day broke down by hr. It is surprisingly accurate. It costs the same as a .50 message.
