So I didn't draw a breaks bow tag so I'm on the search for a plan B elk area. This weekend I checked out the south little snowies (swimming woman creek) and the amount of public use suprised me.
Has anyone hunted this area during bow/rifle season? Is it a zoo? I can see ATVs running around and a handful of horsetrailers at the parking lot. Does that seam to ring true?
Is it worth hiking a couple miles to these alpine areas or are there lots of horse camps and/or are the elk quickly pushed out to private land and its pretty unproductive hunting?
Also has anyone hunted spring bear in this area. I did and saw lots of hunters, crap ton of elk and deer and no bear.
PM me if needed, Thanks
