SOME ROGER'S PASS BULL SHED'S..
linchon is huge!! As for hunting big bull's get private property acess twords the peak of the rut and you will get into 320+ bull's. Opening day's are critical for big public land bull's. Hunt spot's where people don't, lot's of hunter's around linchon and they hunt moistly everywhere. Throw your bugler away if your after a bigger bull, most average and bigger bull's will have cow's and will 70% of the time they will push their cow's away from your bugle. Knowing water holes and elk patter's is a must if your going to hunt in the thicker backcountry spot's. Use cow scent all the time in thicker country. ** don't be afraid to hunt mid day, lot's of the bull's will bed without their cow's. if you have a patner use the "cow troller technique" and call in bull's mid day, you will be suprize how good mid day can be around linchon! Buy a Montana decoy expecially for linchon due to the fact if you call in a bull they will come in slow and extremly consious and sometimes silent and that decoy will help you close the distance. Good places to look would be copper creek- lot's of backcountry and some private land around the hy-way, alise creek- good backcountry and some private land around the hy-way with big bull's in that private during mid rut, flesher pass- more open country with good cow number's, lot's of bull flood in there from the winter range on the other side of the pass, roger's pass- very thick and somewhat steep with a small number of cow's, but good number of bull's good spot for calling, ogden mnt- thick spot and not steep, lot's of bull's come down from the high country due to cow's. and daltin mountin if your willing to hunt some extreme terrain. Good luck *** One more thing - Elk around linchon get pushed around heavy! One day you might be on elk and the next couple day's there gone from people pushing them around... don't be afraid to drive around at night and bugle into cayon's and wait for a responce. if you find a deep sounding bull get back there in the morning and start your hunt there. I have spent way to much day's in spot's where at one time big bull's were all around but got pushed out and all you get to see is tree scrap's and poop!!
