Leupold Ventana?

Has anyone used the new Leupold Ventana spotting scope yet? I'm just curious if it is pretty much the same quality as the Sequoia or if they upped there game with the new model Ventana. Thanks for the help.

I have looked through them plenty in the stores, however, I haven't used them on the mountain. I find them to be much better then then Sequoia and a very nice scope. I would look into the Nikon 5, if money permits.

It looks like Leupold is trying hard to work with OEM companies to improve their budget optics lines. I agree this scope looks to be an improvement on the Sequoia, thankfully.

However, you are getting very close in price to a really nice ED spotter that also accepts standard astronomic eyepieces:

Thanks for the info. BB have you looked through the Celestron. I see these all over on the web but I just haven't looked at one in person. As for the price that's about as high as I can go. Leupold gives military a discount so I try to stay with them.

I have seen the Celstron, both the 65mm and 80mm models. They correct aberrations very well. I am confident they are a better performer than the Ventana.

However, while Celestron is a reputable company, I don't have personal knowledge of their customer service. It could be great, or it could be crap. What I do know is Leupold has excellent customer service. Unfortunately, I have had to use it.
