Layering up...

This year I am going to try using my Kelvin Active jacket, partnered with a Kelvin vest for my deer hunt. I typically use my Kelvin Hoody but am thinking two layers may just work. Anyone else trying something new this year?

I've upgraded all my gear to Sitka. I've been wearing the Accent pant and a lightweight wicking long sleeve. This works very well in the high temps we have this year.

I have 2 November deer hunts and an elk hunt. I plan on trying out a few layers to see what works best for me.

I recently purchased some Scent Lok taktix pants that I will where come Saturday. Pretty excited as i did read some great reviews on these and Scent Lok products in general. Also wear under Armour base layer long sleeve shirt with carhartt long johns under pants. Usually just use those base layers then a sweater and orange coat.

How has that been working for you? I tried something similar with different brands plus a rain shell (didn?t use). I tagged out in three days of mild weather so not a lot of experience but felt the system had potential.

Used this system a lot. Worked quite well for the most part. Kelvin Active is now a favorite.
