Last hunt for the year

Headed out this morning for the last hunt of the year. Weather and travel looks like it is going to be tough. Forecasting a lot of snow where I'm headed. Almost thinking I should wait a day! Looking for a cow elk to top of the meat supply. Hopefully I can make to the hunting spot!!

Man it was cold and snowy, but I think it helped find the elk. Great way to end the season. One tough pack out, but well worth the meat in the freezer!!

Congrats on some great eating meat. You're a tougher man than I am cause I quit sleeping in a tent in that kind of weather years ago.

Nice cow. Congrats! Looks colder than a witch's mammary gland there. How cold was it? And what brand of tent do you have?

I think it was around 20 maybe colder in the middle of the night. It was warm during the day so everything was wet which made it even harder to stay warm. It was a fun solo hunt though. The tent is the Cabelas outback. real easy set up and easy to handle for one guy.
