Heading to La Barge to hunt elk with a general tag. Is anyone familiar with La Barge Creek Rd? Is the road good enough to pull a trailer down? Are there ample camping spots along the road? Is it anything like the Greys River Road near Alpine? And my last question, anyone use Neilds Processing or Dana Cold Storage for processing? Thanks for any info.

La barge creek road is pretty decent, I would pull a small travel trailer up there but with a little weather the road could get slick. Are you rifle hunting? How are you planning on hunting? I was just up there a few weeks ago.

I will be archery hunting next week. I will be doing day hunts. I've hunted out of Alpine before on the Greys River. I was looking to check out some new areas.

I grew up in Kemmerer and we go up Labarge Creek all the time. You can pull pretty much any kind of trailer up the road and there are quite a few spots to pull off the road and camp if you beat people there. I don't think you will have to fight to many people for camping spots during the archery hunt.

My family used Dana's for processing for many years and if I remember right you had to have 100 lbs to be able to get your own meat back if you were making jerky. Hope this helps and good luck.
