Looking to get some new gear. Considering the First Lite Boundary Stormtight jacket and pants or the Kuiu Chugach jacket and pants. Anyone tried both? I'd get the ASAT in First Lite, or Vias in Kuiu.

I typically whitetail deer hunt in NY, but will be late season bull elk hunting in AZ this Nov/Dec.

Give me some advice on these two suits. Thanks guys.

Yes and I hope not...lol.

I see a lot of rain back in NY. I cannot afford new sets each year, so whatever I buy this year will need to last several years. I'm a lifetime license holder in NY. If I don't draw tags out west, I always go back to NY for 2 weeks.

The guys I am hunting with in AZ say they've had rain and/or snow in the past up where we're going. I'm just trying to cover my bases with a waterproof layer.

Haver used either rain gear but just got back from ak and used kryptek rain gear and was awesome. I have never the first lite or kuiu pants and to me the leg zippers are a must and kryptek start at ankle and go to hip. Easy on off don't know if the others have leg zippers.

I haven't tried the First lite stuff but I have the Kuiu Chugach and Yukon. The Chugach is great pack able rain gear. If you want something a little tougher and heavier go with the Yukon. If it's a backpack hunt take the Chugach and for everything else Yukon.
