Kimber Mountain Ascent Stock

I've looked around and can't seem to find anything on the topic so here goes. I've been seriously thinking about the Kimber Mountain Ascent in 30-06, but as much as I like the SS and lightweight, I can't get past the butt ugly stock. I was wondering for any of those with the MA or a Montana, can these be sanded down and repainted easily? I don't know how thick the carbon fiber is and I would hate to ruin the stock trying to sand down the ugliness. I've seen a few Montanas with new paint jobs, but I've heard the Ascent has a rubbery finish.

Find someone to trade with.....if you had a short action I'd trade you the gray stock that is on my .223 MT even up for your Mt Ascent stock. Bet you can easily find a trading partner with a long action MT.

I'd love to have a mountain ascent in 280 AI! Maybe get a hold of Kimber and see if there's another option for stock colors

I've asked, thats a negatory on the different colors. I think I might go with a Montana and go from there. It's a shame, because man that's an ugly stock for such a nice gun.

Why not just get the stock dipped with a different graphic; make it any color you want.
