Kaycee Wyoming mule deer

Venturing over to kaycee area for some mule deer hunting, been looking at some maps and it appears a lot of the blm is either landlocked or inaccessible by public road. Does anyone have any recommendations on areas to hunt? Thanks!

Not trying to be a smart ass, but any thing you can hunt.
Farther you go from the road, and the harder it is to get there, the more likely you are to find one.

Its a general area there isn't it? There are a few walk-in areas and a hunter management area I think.

West of Kaycee or East of Kaycee? There is some access out west of town but there are a lot of other out of state plates around there too.

Are you hunting East or West of highway 25? I hunted this area a couple years ago. I know of some private ground you can buy access for at a reasonable price. This ground is just okay BUT it opens up a LOT of public ground. Send me a PM...Jason

I saw a nice 4x4 this summer when I was scouting for antelope in that area this summer. It was on BLM. Send me a pm if you want the area I saw it in.

I wish I had saw this post prior to my hunt. I can say there is some public land to hunt. I think most of the bucks get shot at a young age from the deer I saw at the butcher shop.
