Insulated boots?

For those of you hunting the west in November. Do you wear insulated or uninsulated boots while hunting for mule deer? I hunt tree stands in Indiana and typically wear 800-1200g insulated boots. I?m assuming these would be far too hot for all the walking I?ll be doing in Montana.

Feel free to recommend specific boot/socks

Almost always 400g. But I make sure and bring some Pac’s or 800+g for those years it gets into the mid to low teens or minus zero.

I'm in 400s in November during 4th rifle here in Colorado. Danners or Crispi is what works for me. High gaiters also.

hard to say. I wear 800-1000 insulated all summer and they are not to hot for me. just never had a feet sweating issue like some do.

not all humans are the same, go with what you think works for you.

I’ll wear both insulated at 400 or in insulated depending on weather conditions.

The Scheels at Johnstown does have the Crispi line also Kenetrek...

Personally I wear uninsulated thru November and have 400s on hand with me always for the just in case day(s).
