I am a newcomer to the forum looking for some information, I hope somebody can help me.
I would like to know if anybody has hunted mule deer in Kaycee Wyoming that could give me some insight?
One of my friends has invited me to go up there this fall to go hunting and it is his first time going up there as well.
I would like to know if there is adequate open range for out-of-state hunters? Are there ranchers in the area that allow entry into their ranch for hunting? What type of geography should I expect? It appears that it is open range and no mountains? Not like the vertical hunting of Utah.
I would really appreciate any hunting tips or opinions. I've been hunting in Utah for the last 40 years and it's gotten real slow the last few years so I'm looking for a new place to go this fall and would like to know more about the Kaycee , region "Y" 33 area.
