north idaho
fish and game came out saying hunting season will not be closed down, however the forest service has large swaths of land closed down and the private timber companies have closed there land. but still lots and lots of land to hunt in north idaho. you just won't be able to see very far. very smoky right now.

That's probably what it was...forest service...
I know that there are folks in Baker County here in Oregon trying to get the seasons delayed or closed.

We all have to be ultra aware as we are heading out into the woods. All it takes is parking and letting a little grass hit the exhaust and it will go up. We did a quick blog piece about fire safety and awareness. I have been carrying two 7 gallon jugs of water, a shovel, an axe, and a rake in the back of the truck. We threw up a quick blog post and Facebook messages...figure if it helps one person then its a good thing.

ODFW so far is saying no delay. If you have a Wenaha tag and it's still closed when your season opens you can exchange it for another unit.
