I want to hunt antelope next season!

So here is my question... do I use my 3 NV lope points for a mediocre tag (if there is such a thing) there, or do I get an OTC tag in another state? My dad and I both would like to hunt them next season, probably with rifles. We both have 3 points in NV. There are a number of tags there that we would have a pretty good chance at drawing, and the success rate for those lower point tags are actually pretty good for both Residents and Non-Res. We don't feel like we need to be looking at B&C goats to be happy, but we would like to have the chance at some quality animals. We are usually well above average as far as success goes on our hunts. Any advise? Thanks!

MT is a good option. The 700 units have the best NR odds. Lots of good antelope hunting on Block Management lands.

For antelope hunting Wyoming cant be beat. Look at units around Rawlins, pretty much any unit that has lots of public land will provide you with a fun hunt. There are a lot of units that can be drawn with no points.

I don't think NV is a slam dunk, plan to hunt if/when you do hunt NV antelope!
btw would even 3 pts get you a NV antelope non-res antelope tag in a mediocre unit?

One strong option is to apply for the "special antelope" tag in WY in a good/great unit, especially if you have 0-1pts.

btw the difference between a 75" and 80" goat is not much! that's only 5 inches total! 2.5inches per side! spread that out amongst length, 4 circumferences, prongs, and it's probably 0.5 inches on each measurement!
