Howa 1500 trigger

I am the proud owner of a HOWA 1500 chambered in 30-06. This rifle feels and shoots very well however, the trigger does have a tremendous amount of creep.

What can I do (other than installing another trigger) to smooth out the factory trigger.

Is yours an older one or the newer models with the HACT trigger? I know Timney makes triggers for 1500's, not sure they are compatable with the HACT. My mini has the new trigger and is good.

Mine is an older 1500.

Check with a good gunny, maybe they can adjust it, or replace it with a Timney or other aftermarket trigger.
