Whats the weather up in the mountains supposed to be like over the next 10 days? I see Hamilton is expecting some precipitation this coming sunday and monday, is that supposed to be snow up in the mountains?

you going hunting there? lived in Hamilton for two years, most beautiful place a guy could ask to live! I bet the top of lost trail pass will pick up some snow, but no way it will hit bitterroot valley floor, id be real surprised if it did. I think its safe to say 7500 and above will grab any snow that may fall. this weekend a lot of moisture is moving in. and temps will be getting to normal range finally. hope this isn't to late. is going to be wet, and prob a little snow.

Supposed to be cool and rainy Sunday and Monday, then bluebird for the rest of the week.
Of course, tomorrow is the last day of archery season and general doesn't open until the 24th, so the only hunters in the field will be those hunting moose, sheep, goat, or bear for most of the week.

It was awesome, saw 2 spikes, 4 cows and 2 calfs, no legal bulls. Lots of hunters this year, and I mean lots of hunters. And the elk werent in there like last year, had to spike out to find them. But it was a great time!.

Good for you. Glad you enjoyed your time. Hunting this country doesn't produce high numbers but it sure can produce good bulls. Just takes mental preparation and staying focused.
