Howdy! I'm a Texas boy new to the Western style of hunting, so I joined this forum to network and learn more about the particular draw systems for public lands that I am not familiar with since probably 95% of the hunting in Texas is mostly private land. My goal is to start accumulating preference and bonus points for Western State hot spots so I can invest in some bucket list hunts one day.
I was fortunate enough to shoot a bull and cow elk on a private ranch in Colorado. I know the bull is not a giant, but I could not complain for my first bull elk free range in Colorado at only 25 yrs old.
Currently in TX, I specialize in thermal hog eradication.
