Hello from AK and MT

Hello All,

I have been reading posts on here for a few months but decided I would start being active. I grew up on Kodiak island chasing Sitka blacktail, goats and bears around and trapping every winter. I am currently living in Montana finishing up my engineering degree at Montana State U. Since I have been in Montana I have picked up archery hunting and was lucky enough to arrow a spike elk during the second week of archery season here in MT. Have also been lucky enough to take a few deer here.

In May I will be moving to Cody WY to work and look forward to hunting in a new sate with new challenges. I have learned alot already from reading though the forum.

Great job on the elk and deer. That whitetail is a bruiser! I had a chance to hunt goats DIY with my brother-in-law(AK resident) and brother on Kodiak last year. I was successful on a goat, but hope to get back and see if I can't get a bigger one and get a blacktail too! I'd love to visit with you about hunting Kodiak sometime. WY will be an awesome place to live IMO. Good luck on your hunts!
