happy birthday buck

Well I had the best b-day present ever this year, the best part was having my Dad along on the hunt. We hunted south central Wyoming this year and spotted one buck that was a 180 class deer. We hunted hard for him in the same quakie patch for 3 days with no luck. The 4th day I saw this guy on a different ridge and was able to put him down with a accubond bullet. I am now a firm believer in this round. Anyways it was the day before my birthday and a hunt with my old man and seeing his excitement plus mine made it my best birthday ever. I don't care about the score but he greened 160 and in my mind is just a gorgeous 4x4 buck that is super tall and has perfect symmetry. A perfect representative mule deer buck.

I Hope every one else had a great season as well!!

Special hunt for sure. I'm sure you both had a great time.
We have to do these things while we can. Time can get away from us fast.

There are quite a few areas in California where the bucks have no eye guards, and one area where quite a few of them have only one eye guard. Although, I think this is more of a genetic characteristic, rather than locale.
