My first question/suggestion is...Do you have a chronograph? I used to think I didn't need one, but feel they are really indispensable for load development. For your .25 I would stay with a heavier bullet (115 gr or above) and load it to 3000 fps or faster. Same with the 6.5. Bullet choice, you'll get lots of advice on this one. I happen to like Sierra Game King boat tails, been using them for years with great results.
Keep us posted on your progress. I got to get to the range next week for some more work with my new M/L. Been too busy fishing and working with my new Lab puppy.

I agree with CC about getting a chronograph for handloads. Don't get hung up on velocity. Once you get a chrony, you'll be able to watch the Extreme Spread and Standard Deviation for your shot groups. You want these numbers to be low and a small difference between the two. For most of my rifles, none of the max. loads listed in reloading manuals are the most accurate. As I approach max load, the ES and SD number rise dramatically, the difference between the two increases and my groups start to open up. Granted, they are still good enough for hunting but I'd rather have my 300 Win Mag pushing a 180Gn Accubond at 2965fps and printing clover leafs @ 100yds then traveling @ 3050-3100fps and have a pattern the size of a pie plate out there. There are a couple of rifles I have it doesn't, matter and I can push them to the max and accuracy is superb. Good luck working up your loads and stay safe.
