Just ordered the new GoPro 3+ black edition, pretty excited to get it before season starts. Where are taking our 6 month old on her first backpacking trip in the Great Smoky Mnts National Park soon, so i will be setting the GoPro up to capture her first overnight trip.

Anyone have any experience with these? I know the this model shoots in 4k, but doubt I will ever get a chance to watch a 4k TV...I can think of many other things to spend $25k on rather than a TV!!!!

Curious about the image quality for publication...the specs say it can shoot 12MP, Ultra Wide at 4000 x 3000 screen resolution, would this suffice for a magazine if I ever strike gold and have a hunt worthy of a magazine entry?

I am also exited about the time lapse feature, that ought to make for some cool video memory as sitting on a ridge watching the sunrise is one of my favorite hunting experiences.

I have seen some fantastic videos with it. Tons of mounting brackets for gun, bow, packs, etc.

Im starting off with a flexible grip so I can attach it to my trekking poles and I should be able to attach it to my pack as well.

The photos I have seen are pretty good, and I would bet they would suffice for an Eastman's spread with one caveat:

GoPros have a ton of distortion. You would need to correct for that in software.

If I understand the resolution correctly it shouldnt be too difficult, but I will know for sure in a week or so.
