Well I didn't apply for my rifle Mule deer hunt this year thinking the September 28th opener was a little early, boy was I WRONG! The weather this year was absolutely perfect for my style of hunting and I didn't apply for the rifle season, what a dumb azz. There have been some very nice bucks hitting the dirt in Oregon this year, congrats to all the successful hunters!

Bad deal man. You will get'm next year. I was hanging out with my taxi and same here there is some real nice bucks coming into the shop this year. Lots of mass and deep forks. The rain we got in July I think really made the differance here.

Oh I acquired another point that's for sure, I will have 5 for deer next year. More than I need for the rifle hunt I want but not enough for the smoke pole hunt. Not sure what I am going to apply for next year. I didn't put in for the rifle hunt this year thinking it would be warm and dry, WRONG! Next year the season starts Oct 3rd, it should be a good year weather wise for the unit I am targeting, but I never seem to get that right.
