Just ordered a Fox Jack decoy for my Fox Pro e-caller, this model installs directly to the caller replacing the battery door. Anybody have any experience with this decoy? I'm looking for expected unit life, battery life and motor noise level.

Thanks Chuck

My buddy just got the same decoy. Really liked the movement. Not sure if it was a fluke, but after only a couple sets the batteries burned out. Other than that it worked great. Hopefully it was just our batteries that were the problem.

Ive been looking at that decoy since I newly aquired a foxpro thanks to someone on this forum! Let us know what you think of it.
Travis, I'll put it to the test the week following Superbowl sunday. Headed back up to the hole for a few days of serious dog call'n !!

Elk Trout, Thanks for the input. I hope you guys just had some weak batteries. Normally if the temps aren't to extreme I can get about a day and a half out of new batteries (caller only). However, the fox jack decoy shares the batteries with the caller and I expect shortened battery life. If I can get a full day of call'n in on a fresh set of batteries I'll be happy.

Yea, I hear ya. I also was looking at the stand alone decoys but decided to keep it simple, but hell, I'm already carrying to much stuff. The other thing is I don't think it's necessary to run the decoy 100% of the time just enough to key him in and keep him coming.

I purchased rechargeable batteries for my Foxpro... Batteries were getting expensive! I bought eight so I always have a spare set ready to go!

I have the Firestorm also but it must be the earlier model. Running the Energizer Ultimate lithium's I was able to call all day (5 or 6 stands) with the decoy working part time and still had battery life at the end of the day.
