I have the Flex. If you need to lose weight it will be a real eye opener on how many calories you need to burn to make that a reality based off what you take in.

I'm still relatively new using it, but I have noticed that it is meant for tracking running /walking more so than other activities. For example, I went kayak fishing and it didn't register me burning that many calories, when in reality I probably burned more paddling than I have any other activity.

If you have any other questions I'll do the best I can to answer them.

I have a polar m400. Just been using it a few days and seems to be ok. I like that it is a gps as well. I have been wearing it since the 1st and have 3 gps runs on it and just went under 50% on battery life today.

Looks like a traditional digital watch, though, not the little bracelet.

My son use to run cross country and track back in high school a few years ago and he wore a Garmin watch. He wore it for a while and finally decided it wasn't for him. Not sure what he did/did not like about it.

I have been using the Fitbit flex since April and just got the Charge HR. I've had great luck with the flex, I work in a very dirty environment and have had absolutely zero problems with it and with it synced to the Fitness app on my iPhone 6 it's help me maintain my caloric intake and activity level so that I don't go back to where I was 3 years ago.

I'm still on the fence as to how much of a benefit I would see with one. I think I would use the heart rate monitor the most. Tracking calories and such isn't such a big deal (wife is a Registered Dietitian).
Those of you using one, which functions/features do you find most beneficial?

The heart rate monitor, distance and sleep tracker are what I like most. My wife is a registered dietitian also but she can't be by my side every time I stop for a snack and help me make a healthier decision, so having the ability to track my intake vs expenditure is really nice. I swear all the bad stuff tastes the best!!!

I do alright on the eating....except for fricking chips, potato chips, tortilla chips, pretzels, oh.. and cheese... I swear the devil himself made em all!
I might have to keep my eye on a model or two...see if they go on sale.
