First trip to Idaho

I'm putting together a plan for an Idaho Muley hunt. I have narrowed my second choice tag down to these units:
28, 36b, 73 or 76. Does anyone have any experience in these units? Any info shared would be greatly appreciated. Right now I'm leaning towards 28 because of the different land options. Thanks fellas.

I haven't been in 28 since the fire last fall but I always have a goot time up there.

Thanks for the replies brothers. How much of 28 burned last fall? I noticed on google earth a lot of it looked orange-ish.

The orange you see is bug kill. I don't have the overall burn that was on the USFS site last fall. From talking with people who were up there it burned out Iron lake and the campground. I don't think it made it to Ople lake and it burned Iron creek and some of Moyer. Like I said I haven't been up there since last spring so I don't have first hand knowledge of what went up but from the fire maps it was bigger than that and took a lot of area. in that part of the unit. Time will tell if the hunting gets better or worse now.

What is bug kill? More importantly, what effect does it have on Mule deer if any?

There was an infestation of pine beetels that hit. When it kills the trees the needles turn red and then fall off. There are places in 28 that look like cobwebs of dead fall. The deer don't mind as long as there is still forage but they may be tougher to get to.
