All right pyros, here is your chance to tell us what you use for a fire starter.

On pack trips we use wax paper in the mornings and it works incredibly well. it burns long and great to get a fire going when you have other things to be taking care of. . Otherwise I personally love pitch wood if your in an area that it is readibly available its the best natural fire starter available. In hunting camp we pack in sawdust cubes on a mule which weigh nothing, then mix them with diesel and it gets a fire going in a cylinder stove immediately which is great when I can light it in my clients tent and walk away to continue saddling.
