I'm building a gun for the kids HS grad present. Looking at a VX-6 3-18 x 44 side focus CDS-ZL scope with the fire dot wind plex reticle. I think I'm confusing states and rules and seasons .......but is that legal for Colorado rifle seasons? I'm away at work and cant download the DOW regs. Thanks!

Legal as it does not project light. Only artificial light in the visible spectrum that is projected is illegal. CRS 33-6-127.

Visible laser sights illegal; laser rangefinders legal; red dots, other lighted sights that do not project light, legal.

Ya you can have a lighted reticle in your scope, but I can't have a light for my pins on my bow. That doesn't exactly project light it simply puts light onto my fiber optics to make them glow funny eh

Oh yeah I agree. I was pumped when we got to put the lighted nocks on this year!
