Ok,I know I'm not the only female hunter out there so let's get a form going.i.e. hunting stories, photos, helpful info for each other ect.
I'm Elizabeth and I live in Dillon,MT I have been hunting since I was 3 year old with my Dad.I hunt with both Bow and rifle and have a great love for the outdoors and God.I do alot of backcountry hunting to get away from the crowds my normal day of hunting is 15 miles of hiking and yes 95% of this is by myself.I started Bivy hunting two years ago and it has been fun.
I had an awsome hunting season last fall got a 5x3 bull elk,5x5 whitetail buck and my antelope buck with my sister with me and got to see my 14 year old brother get his first bow mulie buck second deer with a bow to date..and just to think I almost didn't get to hunt last year becuase of a work injury to my wrist. As I staed above I took a 5x3 bull I
had a cast on I think this was the hardest and funnest hunt I've had to date and yes I had to take some painkillers that night.I shoot him at 10 yard and had to pack him out 1 1/2 miles by myself.. And I can't wait until next season.
I am thinking of going bear hunting this spring it well be my first bear hunt.
Would love to hear from anyother female hunters out there!!

Hi Elizabeth! I just started the hunting process 4 years ago and took my first muley buck this past fall...a nice 5x5 from 270 yards out. He ran about 15 yards and fell into a ravine, had to drag him out about 100 yards at about a 45 degree slope. I hurt my wrist too, prior to in August, but the doctors had said that because I was using it as well as I was, it was only a sprain. Come January an MRI showed severe damage and in February had reconstructive surgery. I rehab-ed it pretty well and am now playing softball so it shouldn't give me a problem this hunting season.

Taking my first deer was exhilarating and cannot wait for this year's season to begin. I, too, do a lot of walking and hit the treadmill almost every day, just to stay in good hunting shape.

Hey ladies!! :)
I'm Jen :) I'm from Sheridan, Wyo. I love it here!! I started hunting when I was like 11 but got real serious about it about 4 or 5 years ago. I bow and rifle hunt but I prefer my bow. I am like RuggedGirl, I hunt every animal I can get a tag for! This fall I will be going for antelope, deer, elk and bear.. I may even throw in a turkey hunt as well just because I can. Hahah. I have taken 2 mule deer bucks with my bow, 3 antelope with my rifle and one cow elk with my rifle. This year I am going for a big ol' bull though! Last year, I took an antelope with my rifle and a mule deer with my bow.. all while I was 7 months pregnant. It should be a fun story to tell my son when he gets older!! I love to go hiking and get away from town. Although, our town isnt very big. I am also huge into fishing. Between the two, my life is pretty full and exciting! I have 2 kids that I take with my hunting every chance I get. My daughter still congradulates me on my shot on my antelope last year. She loves to talk about going hunting and I know that its because I take her hunting and so I hope that she will hunt when she gets a little older too. She is only 5. She also loves to shed hunt with me, which we do a lot of in the Spring. My son, who is now almost 8 months old, loves deer and elk horns. We have them all over in our living room and they are his toy of choice!
