Elk units 77,78,771

Does anyone have advice or info for Colorado units 77,78,771 for second season Elk? Especially unit 771.... Thanks

The fires that caused the closure in the San Juans are forecast to burn until late July. The closure of the NF will remain until we get enough rain to lower the fire hazard. Could impact archery opener for sure.

Another news station talked about the supertanker the other day. They said that the tanks that it is using isn't approved for the retardant or water or whatever it is carrying. They also mentioned that it cost around $23,000 a hour and isn't that maneuverable in the air. They also said something like they can fly 3 of the smaller tanker for what it cost for the supertanker and that they are more maneuverable over the fire.

Yep. None of those issues surprise me. I would not want to fly our lighter weight, more maneuverable, 737s low over those fires, let alone try to maneuver that cruise ship.

These units get a lot of hunters. Too close to Texas. Oklahoma. Hard to get away from the crowds even with horses
