I drew that same tag last year it was way to hot and there wasn't much rain most of the tanks were dry went 5 days before season stared to find a place to hunt. The elk were beded down before the sun came up because of the heat it was hard to find them there was sign everywhere. Hope for cooler temps and some rain there are forest service roads everwhere that You can use if You can bring a atv it will get You back even further call game and fish they were big help very friendly if You still need help pm me
