What is the best bugle tube for use with diaphragm calls? Packability is a concern.

Bugle tubes are tough call for me. Depending on where I hunt I have a couple different methods.

Populated areas (combat calling): When I'm in a place where I know there have been, or are, other people calling the bulls I always pack a couple different bugles. I keep a Primos Pack Bugle and my Rockie Jakeobson Monarch bugle handy. The Primos call is nice and packable and easy to use in a hurry, the Rockie Jakeobson call is much less common around here, and makes a sound different enough that educated bulls don't know it. I've never seen another Monarch bugle on another hunter in the bush, and I've never had a bull ignore it. Even in high pressure areas

Backcountry (ever ounce counts): Here I go with the tube from my Primos Pack bugle. Nice and compressible and easy to bend to change sounds. I take off the blue reed head on the call and use my diaphragm calls to bugle. This keeps the weight down, and the variability of sounds I can make up.

I carry a number of different diaphragms from a few different companies. Rockie Jakeobson, Primos, Bush-in-Bush, and others. I like the single and double reed calls. I have some triple reed calls but I've never had good luck with them. The Rockie Jakeobson single reed call, the Primos mini double reed are my go to calls right now.

Best tube money can buy by far is the "Bully Bull" tube, by Bugling Bull game calls (AKA Rocky Jacobsen's). Its quite a bit bigger than any other tubes on the market and sucks to carry, but......It will set you apart from the "Terminator crowd" and bulls will respond, totally worth the extra effort. Rocky also makes a variety of reeds, and is the inventor of the "pallet late" style reeds in which Primos bought rights to produce them. The reeds I love are; "The Remedy", and "Raging Bull". Both will scream really loud, and make the sweetest cow calls. His newest edition in reeds is the "All Star", which is a "dome style reed that actually works awesome, unlike some of the others on the market. Just my 2cents.

A guy I hunt with had the mossback last year. It was the one that has two tubes. It seemed to work very well, he loves it. However he is by far the best Hunter I have ever known. He is about 70 and can call anything in, It is a blast to watch. I am not very good at calling, the Primos pack bugle works for me. I have called a few nice bulls in but I have a lot of leaning to do. I hope my friend sticks with hunting for a lot longer I have a ton of tricks I want him to teach me.
BTW I love the handle
