Thanks I will. You could try calling Eberlestock and see if they have anymore "smoke damaged" packs. I bought a blue widow last fall for $150 and it wasn't damaged at all. It smelled like smoke, but I washed it and let it hang outside and it was fine.
Called them a while back and never got a call back :-(You could try calling Eberlestock and see if they have anymore "smoke damaged" packs. I bought a blue widow last fall for $150 and it wasn't damaged at all. It smelled like smoke, but I washed it and let it hang outside and it was fine.
I have a blacks creek canadian, and it is a nice pack. I really like how you can expand the meat compartment to pack quarters out. It is not as comfy as my badlands though, so I only use it when someone needs a pack to help me pack meat.Im getting a new pack and down between the BW and Blacks Creek Canadian..Ever used the Canadian?
+1 for Steve. Great guy to deal with and good prices.Contact Steve Speck with Sands Archery (http://www.sandsarchery.com/Default.asp) for all things Eberlestock. I am very pleased with my BW.
I think the pack just doesn't quite fit my torso as good, even with the ability to move the harness. My badlands pack just seems to fit really nice. I would like to try one of the Blue Widows, but I am afraid I would like it, and the wife isn't going to let me get a new pack right now. lolThanks for info RUTTIN...what about it is not as comfy as your badlands?
Thanks
Badlands 2200?I have a 2200 and love it. It makes a great day pack, but I have also used it on week-long excursions as well. I had about 60 pounds packed in this on my last 7-day backcountry elk hunt. I would say that the 2200 isn't ideal for hauling that type of weight around, but it will hold up to the abuse.
