Bob Tanner, who owned Red's Meadows Resort & Pack Station passed away last week. I knew Bob when he first worked at red's in the summer of 1955 when I worked there for a summer while in high school. My family packed in deer hunting with him and his predesessor Arch Mahan for over 60 years. He also started Mule Days in Bishop.

He was a good friend and will be missed.

That sucks. I love Red Meadows. Rode with a gal out of there a long time ago. Used to go to Bishop Mule Days every memorial weekend. It was "the big city" from where I grew up.
