I am planning on my first early season archery mule deer hunt this fall on public land and was hoping to get some advice. The area I plan on hunting ranges from 9000 to 11000 feet elevation and has a lot of brush country. And some of the private land scattered throughout is open pasture. I planned on finding a high point and glass but I am concerned about not being able to see due to the brush. Been looking at GoogleEarth. Any advice on locating deer when visibility is limited at brushy lower elevations and also dark timber up high? What's the general consensus on where I should focus, up high or down low? My time is limited so no early season trips to scout. But, I want to get there a couple days early to glass. I am familiar with some of the area as I have elk hunted it before. My goal is to shoot a respectable buck and have a good time doing it. Thanks
