61 can be hot or cold. In 2015 I had a muzzle loader elk tag and during my scouting and the actual hunt we saw less than 10 bucks and of those 10 bucks I would say that 8 of them were down low in the fields. My hunt only lasted one day but in that day I didn't see a single deer and I was in some prime deer country, mostly oak brush.
