Yep, I had that tag last year. Awesome experience. It's not as easy as it sounds, but if you put in the work you should be able to find a nice billy to put a tag on.

Good luck to you and enjoy the whole trip from start to finish! Start taking photographs as soon as you start scouting and hiking to the very end of your hunt. If you take lots of photographs you might have enough to fill one album full. It will be a really cool way to memorialize your hunt. Best of luck and be safe! What rifle will you be using???

Thanks for all the congrats! I'm going to do it with a bow. I've already taken a great goat in BC in 2011 with a bow. That hunt only lasted 20 minutes once we got the tent set-up. I did an article in Eastmans EBJ and it was thier magazine in 2012.
I love DIY but it's really hard to draw in the lower 48 and I wasn't getting any younger. They've always been on my bucket list of must do hunt.
I still can't believe I get another opportunity to do it again. This time on my own!

Congratulations! I drew unit 3. I'm doing some research on various forums and there is a very detailed post on a goat hunt in unit 1 from last season. I have PM the author even though he was in unit 1 for info and he was very nice and I bet would be helpful to you.
