Drawing permit application time

It's that time of year again...the drawing permit application period is November 1 thru December 15.
Go to Alaska Department of Fish and Game's website to look at the hunts available.

Have any good info for me on hunting caribou for a DIY trip? ive been all around the coasts of alaska but never to the interior.

Alaska does not allow hunting of mountain caribou, just barren ground. For a DIY you might want to look at a registration permit hunt along the Taylor highway. Timing is everything and don't expect to be alone, when the caribou are there, so are the hunters.
