Dove hunting

Anybody have any luck with doves yet.
My son and I went to some waterholes near Beatty monday morning and saw 1 dove.
We went to Ash meadows for the evening hunt and saw 2 birds. What a waste of time, the only thing that made it
worth it was hanging out with my son.

I haven't gone specifically for dove, but just throw in the old youth pump 20ga in case I run into some....so far have not seen one bird. Will take the gun along to camp and hopefully run into one or 2.

A couple of years ago my son and I were sitting by a waterhole with our bows waiting for some deer and the doves were like flys everywhere. Sad thing was it was 2 days before dove season.

Gonna go out Saturday down on the ranch to try and shoot some.

I've got a spot that usually produces, I'll probably hunt tomorrow. I saw hundreds of dove there one night while I was running. Of course that was well before dove season.
