DIY solo elk hunt results

Struck out on unit 15. Learned I wasn't as tough as I thought. lol.

-8 in my backpacking tent was a bit extreme. Did see some cool country and some cow elk. No big bulls for me this year. That's hunting.

Ive hunted 3rd season before and when I do rifle hunt, I like snow. But that was a bit more than I wanted. Found out what optics do in extreme cold and also was able to test out my merino wool gear. all in all, a good fall of hunting.

btw, I like bow hunting elk best. Simply had a fly fishing trip to alaska in late September change my hunt schedule this year...
