As most of you who have the digital subscription know, EHJ should have hit your email inboxes. I want to hear back from those of you who received it hear your thoughts.

1. What did you like?

2. What areas do you need some help navigating? Explainer videos are in the works but I need some feedback from all of you on the areas you would like to see in a video.

3. Are you using the app on a mobile device or you using a browser?

Please do not use this as an opportunity to complain about not having the old system. That is not what this thread is for, if this turns into that type of thing I will delete those comments.

One question I do have is about the trial run. How do you sign up for that? I have the apps downloaded on my smart phone but when I input my email address it says I don't exist in your server. So when I click the button to subscribe I get another notice saying your payment method is outdated? Does the trial run not allow you to view the entire magazine including articles and MRS sections?

Try that link, add it to your cart then check out like normal. You should get an email giving you access.

Hi Scott. I got my link to the latest EHJ today and I like plenty about the digital subscription -- it comes early, price is good, easy to use.

I just access it through my computer browser and it is pretty straight-forward. Plus there is a Help feature that I just looked through today. Being able to Search is my favorite feature and the advanced search is great because it allows an "exact phrase match" so you don't get too many extra hits, etc.

One thing that would be nice is if the Back Issues went back even further. It is great looking back through those older issues and being able to Search specific topics/content.

I'm not really sure what to recommend for the Explainer Video you are planning -- the Help area seems to cover everything pretty well. Good stuff!

Scott i read the electronic edition on my desktop. Had a question about the Unit charts. it is on 2 different pages. Which is right? Some different grades on some units.

my ipad was slow but that had a lot to do with a slow wi fi. I think the videos that autoplay ties up a lot of bandwidth.

Which state? That may be a question for the MRS author depending what is going on.

Sorry it was Wyoming Pronghorn pages 111 and 117

I see a difference in the Hunters per square mile numbers and the Pressure ratings.

Were they supposed to be Archery and Any Weapon? Because they both say "any weapon".

Things I LIKE

being able to click on a story and read it in a white back ground
Being able to zoom in to the MRS tables and see it on my Desktop monitor.
The Sideways buck caught my eye. Unique for sure. Guy's explanation in his from the editor column was adequete.
Hunt application deadlines table was good.
being able to watch some video that was filmed of the hunt when in the story was good. (The auto play part was a little anoying. I'd prefer a callout box with a little descriptive text to click.
The sheer volume. Over 100 pages means I can skim at first and go back and read stories all month.

Here is a little bit of an update that should make logging in to the digital edition easier. On the Digital Access tab you will see that there is a drop down. Simply click on the title you want to access and it will bring you to the latest edition of the magazine. Click on the issue that you want to read, type your email in the login pop up and you should be good to go.

Let me know if you have issues logging in. We have had a couple of bugs that we just got sorted out, if you have issues we will get them taken care of.
