Anyone here have any experience making boot tracks with Cabelas Denali boots by Meindl? I found out my wife was getting me a pair for Christmas. I put them on the list after trying on several pairs of different boots. I usually hunt pretty steep stuff in eastern ID and figured they would be ideal. Any input would be appreciated.

arwaterfowler,

I have a pair of boots that are same or very similar, Meindl/Cabelas. I've worn them for several years now (5-6) including on an 11 day sheep hunt. I recommend them highly. They have held up to all that I've put them through from tundra to shale rocks. They show their age now but I wouldn't hesitate to take them on another sheep hunt.
I haven't had them in hot, dry country yet, so I can't speak to that.
My guess is you will be satisfied with them.

Ok, the wife bought the Denali's for Christmas. They are great. She bought the 10.5EE and I ordered the 11EE to make sure I have the right size. I have a wide "box shaped" foot that takes up a lot of volume. The 10.5 were right. Off to try some insoles tomorrow.

Good boots I don't have the denali's but I have the cabelas meindl Alaska gtx uninsulated and they perform great break in period isn't long and I've logged about 50+ miles in them overall a good boot and definitely pleased I wasn't a big fan of the laces so I changed those out and put different ones on but overall super pleased with them for having them for just about a year
