Does the delorme has a functional gps or is it more of a communication device paired with another gps? Thanks

the delorme explorer has gps in it but i have heard the gps for navigation isnt the best. I just recieved my delorme se and im loving it so far. It seems like a great tool.

Mine doesn't have navigation. I will be just using my GPS for navigation

The SE can't be used for navigation. The Explorer can be used for navigation. I wanted the SOS and texting but figured for $80 more I would go with the Explorer for a back up gps navigation. I just got it and haven't tried it that much.
