there is a decent amount of public mixed in with some private its a checker board but i can help with that.
there are also some really big chunks of public
the dow officer i ran into says he has tried increasing elk tags but they just head for private and never get shot.


Umpqua there are supposed to be some big ones in there
when i was scouting for deer i blew 2 330 bulls out from in front of some unhappy archery hunters
the other one was maybe a 270

another hunter told me of a mulie he thought was a elk (his rack was so tall)

I'd just recommend what my dad taught me...work hard, be generous with those you love, spend less then you make, make long term plans and save for them. I'd recommend Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. ;-)

Yeah, I was just joking around. Good advice though. I've read the book and live the lifestyle...

Hey CoBack. I'm 99% sure I'll be putting in for here. I might just hit you up on that access issue when the time comes. Thanks for the reply. I'm also thinking I might have to do a spring gobbler hunt out there that doubles as a scouting mission. I'll be on the lookout for a mule deer with elk antlers for sure!
