Looking for recommendations. I have a 12x14 wall tent shop tent, and I'm considering their stove. Anyone had any experience with these, or do you have any other recommendations?

A good welder can make you a great one that will last for years. Make sure to get a warming tray on top to cook on, the water tank is also very useful, Don K is right. Lighter weight stoves can burn through after a few years of use, by that I mean barrel type stoves made of thin metal.
We have a 12x14 also and our stove keeps it very comfortable.

We have had the Colorado cylinder stove for 20 years and it has no problems heating our 14x16 wall tent. You can get a water tank and a warming tray for it as well. It is packable and has tie downs that make it easy to pack.

These sound like good options for wall tents. What options are recommended for us backpack here nters who use a 2-3 man floorless shelter?

I have a TI Goat cylinder stove for my supertarp.. works pretty well. My buddy has the seek outside Courthouse tent, and uses the larger seek outside box stove and it warms that big tent up in minutes and does well. Kifaru makes them as well, but my TI Goat was cheaper than theirs and in stock, and I think better build overall.

I have a 4 man kifaru tipi i got in 2007 and have used the small box stove. I got the stove and tipi at the same time
I bought a 8 man kifaru and large stove used a couple of years ago.

The box stoves have worked well for me, is there and advantage to upgrading to the new style cyclinder stoves?

I have put my tipis thru the test. An 11 day float trip in alaska, the combo was a lifesave, get the liner.

the 4 man tipi has seen alot of action and has been in very high winds and has been an extremely valued piece of equipment when the plane was 5 days late on a 10 day fligh out trip. We where cooking on the wood stove to conserve fuel in our cook stoves.

2 of the pics are the 4 man, the one i am sitting in is the 8 man.

I am debating a floorless shelter. I too have been wondering which is better, cylinder or box?
I pack-in on most hunts and usually up to 5-6 days. I try to keep things light, but the lightest is not always the best.
I've been debating the Cimarron and the MT tents. Anyone with experience with either? They appear at the top of most searches and both cost and rate nearly the same. Are liners a must? I try to keep the weight down, so this is a factor.
Hoping someone has some hands on experience and can share. If anyone has one of these two, I would not mind speaking on the phone to gain a better perspective. Thanks guys!

dry environment, no liner
rainy environment with wind, get the liner

it is environment specific, all single wall tents act the same way.
