No coyotes tournaments for monetary value Is the key. Something tells me there will be a lot of voluntary coyote hunts. Maybe even more than there was! Haha. So glad I escaped!

It's unfortunate that the anti's in this state choose not to see the big picture. The deer and antelope populations are suffering due to the predation of their young. I hunted antelope up in Dorris, CA a few years back, and the locals said the antelope population started dropping dramatically when the DFG stopped paying bounties on coyotes. Now days, not many people hunt them for sport. Most are taken only while out hunting other animals. The population is already so out of control, and these contests were a way to attempt to keep the population back in check.

Yea this state sucks sometimes, also they are talking about starting the lead free ban for a certain unnamed species next year too. Anyone hear anything on this subject?

There is no such a thing as a coyote contest in ca anymore! but there is nothing against a big get together, a good bbq, and if the coyote population takes a hit during it, then I call it a success!
